Jiangsu Liangyi is an ISO 9001:2015-certified forging manufacturer in Jiangyin, China, producing Alloy 20 / UNS N08020 / W.Nr. 2.4660 open-die forgings, seamless rolled rings and valve components to ASTM B462 / B472 / B473 and NACE MR0175. Alloy 20 is a niobium-stabilised austenitic acid-resistant stainless, and its sulfuric-acid and SCC resistance depend on clean melting and a correct stabilise-anneal — both controlled in-house.

Why the metallurgy matters: ~33% nickel gives practical immunity to chloride stress-corrosion cracking; copper (3–4%) and molybdenum (2–3%) build resistance to sulfuric and reducing acids; chromium adds resistance to oxidising acids such as nitric; and niobium (Cb) ties up carbon so chromium carbides do not precipitate in the weld heat-affected zone — allowing as-welded service without PWHT in most cases.

Melting: VIM (vacuum induction) with ESR remelting for low gas/inclusion content and tight chemistry; full heat-analysis traceability.

Forging & heat treatment: forge 1,150–1,220 °C with finish >980 °C and adequate reduction to refine grain; stabilise-anneal ~955–1,010 °C and water quench. The alloy cannot be hardened by heat treatment; its high work-hardening rate means low cutting speeds, heavy feeds and tools kept engaged.

Inspection: 100% UT and PT, full chemistry, Charpy and tensile testing, intergranular-corrosion testing on request; EN 10204-3.1 / 3.2 with full traceability.

Capability: bars, rings, shafts, valves; 30 kg–30 t; rings to 6 m.
