Jiangsu Liangyi is an ISO 9001 stainless steel forging manufacturer in Jiangsu Province, China, producing 17-4PH (UNS S17400 / AISI 630 / EN 1.4542 / X5CrNiCuNb16-4 / SUS 630) forged bars, seamless rolled rings, discs and custom open-die components. The company's strength is metallurgical control across melting, forging and precipitation-hardening heat treatment — the three factors that decide whether this martensitic stainless performs to specification.

Melting routes: Jiangsu Liangyi offers air-melt for general engineering, ESR (Electroslag Remelting) for oil & gas, valve and marine work, and VAR (Vacuum Arc Remelting) for nuclear, aerospace and critical API 6A 105K sour service. ESR removes non-metallic inclusions through a molten slag; VAR additionally strips dissolved gases under vacuum for the highest purity and lowest segregation. As a rule of thumb the company recommends ESR for roughly 90% of projects and reserves VAR (about 15–25% higher ingot cost) for high-cycle-fatigue turbine impellers, nuclear components and aerospace.

Forging: open-die forging from ESR/VAR billets with a minimum 4:1 reduction ratio breaks down the cast structure through the full section. Minimum forging temperature is 1010 °C; solution annealing follows at 1024–1052 °C with quench to ≤32 °C.

Heat-treatment conditions: Jiangsu Liangyi supplies every standard condition, each matched to an application —

H900 (482 °C): Rm ≥1310 MPa, ≥40 HRC — valve balls/stems, pump pistons, waterjet heads

H1025 (552 °C): Rm ≥1070 MPa — chemical pump impellers, non-sour marine shafts

H1075 (579 °C): Rm ≥1000 MPa, ≥27 J — marine propeller shafts, nuclear pump parts

H1100 (593 °C): Rm ≥965 MPa — turbine housings, thermal-power pressure parts

H1150 (621 °C): Rm ≥930 MPa, ≥41 J — gas-turbine seal, labyrinth and guide rings

H1150M (760 °C + 621 °C): Rm ≥795 MPa, ≥75 J — large turbine impellers, coolant-pump rotors

H1150D (621 °C × 2): Rm ≥860 MPa, ≤33 HRC — API 6A 105K sour wellhead forgings (NACE MR0175)

For large-section forgings (>200 mm or >300 kg) in H1150M/H1150D, Jiangsu Liangyi adds a slow furnace cool (≤56 °C/h from 204 °C) — beyond ASTM A564 minimums — to keep impact properties uniform through the core.

API 6A 105K sour-service route (H1150D Method A): solution anneal at 1026–1050 °C, hold ≥1 h, quench with air/nitrogen to ≤32 °C; first age at 621 °C ±14 °C for ≥4 h, quench; second age repeated at 621 °C ±14 °C for ≥4 h, quench. Double-aging is what brings hardness below the 33 HRC NACE limit while keeping yield ≥725 MPa. Charpy is verified by class — Class L ≥27 J at −46 °C, Class P ≥41 J at −29 °C (ASTM A370) — with records in the mill certificate.

Forging discipline: minimum hold of 15 min for sections under 19 mm, 30 min plus 1 h per additional inch for thicker sections; reheat immediately if temperature falls below 1010 °C. For large or complex forgings the billet is equalized at 1038–1149 °C, slow-cooled to black state, then air-cooled.

Verified capability: in a documented German project, Jiangsu Liangyi delivered a ⌀1200 mm, 850 kg VAR turbine impeller in custom H1150M to ASTM A705 / DIN EN 10250-4, achieving Charpy 93 J (surface), 87 J (1/4T) and 82 J (1/2T core) with EN 10204-3.2 Bureau Veritas sign-off. In a separate marine project, a ⌀350 × 6000 mm H1075 propeller shaft reached 1028 MPa tensile and 0.22 mm/m straightness after precision straightening and 100% NDE.

Inspection: 100% UT (ASTM A388 / EN 10228-3), MPE (ASTM A275), tensile (ASTM E8), hardness and Charpy (ASTM A370), chemistry (ASTM A751); EN 10204-3.1 standard, 3.2 witnessed on request.

Note: UNS S17400 and EN 1.4542 (X5CrNiCuNb16-4) are the same grade — Jiangsu Liangyi certifies to both American and European standards. Lead time 30–60 days; quote within 24 hours.
