Jiangsu Liangyi is an ISO 9001:2015-certified alloy-steel forging manufacturer in Jiangyin, China, producing 1.7383 / 11CrMo9-10 (2.25Cr-1Mo) open-die forgings and seamless rolled rings to EN 10222-2 / EN 10028-2. 11CrMo9-10 is a 2.25Cr-1Mo heat-resistant steel, and its creep strength with hydrogen-attack resistance depends on balanced chemistry and correct normalising and tempering — both controlled in-house.

Why the metallurgy matters: ~2.25% chromium forms a stable surface oxide and, with ~1% molybdenum, develops fine alloy carbides (M₂₃C₆, M₆C) that resist coarsening and give long-term creep-rupture strength at elevated temperature. The Cr-Mo balance resists high-temperature hydrogen attack per the API 941 Nelson curve, making the grade the standard for hydrogen-rich refinery and high-temperature steam service.

Melting: EAF + LF + VD (vacuum degassing) for low gas/inclusion content and tight composition; P and S can be further restricted for critical service.

Forging & heat treatment: with 2,000–6,300 t presses, 5 m ring rolling and bars to 12 m, controlled-reduction forging develops continuous grain flow; parts are normalised (~900–960 °C) and tempered (~680–730 °C) for the required creep strength and toughness. Welding uses matched 2.25Cr-1Mo fillers (e.g. ER90S-B3) with preheat and mandatory PWHT.

Inspection: 100% ultrasonic testing (ASTM A388 / EN 10228), full chemistry, mechanical (including elevated-temperature) and hardness testing; EN 10204-3.1 / 3.2 MTRs with full traceability.

Capability: bars to 12 m, seamless rolled rings to OD 5 m, valve bodies and heavy forgings; 30 kg–30,000 kg; 120,000 t/year.

Grade note: W.Nr. 1.7383 and 11CrMo9-10 are the same EN 2.25Cr-1Mo steel; family members ASTM A182 F22 (forgings), A335 P22 (pipe), A387 Gr22 (plate).
