AM16 / 32B channel expansion board

The am16 / 32B expansion board increases the number of sensors that can be measured by the data collector. Am16 / 32B can switch and measure 16 groups of 4-wire sensors (64 wires in total) through 4 multiplexing ports (COM). In addition, am16 / 32B can be switched to 2-wire mode with manual transfer switch to measure 32 groups of 2-wire sensors in sequence (the total number is also 64 wires).

A data collector can be connected to up to six expansion boards, and the compatible sensor types of the expansion board include thermistor, potentiometer, load cell, tensiometer, vibrating wire sensor, soil volume water content sensor and soil water potential module (am25t is recommended for thermocouple measurement). In most applications, the sealed rechargeable power supply used by the data collector can provide enough power supply for the system; in the case of infrequent use of expansion board, the data collector can use alkaline battery power supply. The power supply of am16 / 32B is mainly provided by the data collector; however, it can also provide an independent power supply for the expansion board, at this time, it and the power supply of the data collector need to share the ground.
