Product Details

Ritver Parquet Varnish is a mono component product based on specially suited modified oil

Alkyd resin. It is a product used as a general purpose floor varnish with high mechanical

resistance and very good abrasion.

USE

Substrates: Wood, wooden floors,

Area of Use: Parquet floors. Indoors only.

Finish : Glossy, semi glossy with a smooth finish.

Colour : Clear.

Specific gravity : 0.93  .02

Solids (%by volume) : 43  1% (depending on the degree of Gloss)

Diluent : White spirit

Flash point : 38°c

Spread Rate:

While the spread rate is directly dependant on the surface profile and also the type of porosity it

has, as a thumb rule Ritver Parquet Varnish would cover 5 – 6 meters per lit depending on

the chosen degree of gloss and product thereof.

Drying Time (30° C) : Set to touch: < 1 – hours.

: Ready for Recoat: app 2 - 3 hours.

Recommended DFT : App 100 - 125 mic/coat

A good surface preparation and following the method statement / recommended system

procedure of Ritver is an ideal recommendation for the application of Ritver Parquet Varnish.

For wood: Achieve a good and clean surface by removing all contaminants by cleaning &

drying. Wood may be treated with Ritver wood preservative before application.

Apply one coat of Ritver wood preservative followed by one to two coats of Ritver Parquet

Varnish after drying.

Apply two good coats with a spray or a suitable brush / roller and obtain the desired coverage.

Exclusions for successful application include perpetually wet surfaces and also large cavities on

wood surfaces.
