Mixed Hardwood:

Medium Hardwood: Medium-heavy to heavy constructional timbers density range is from about 720 to 880 kg/m3 air dry (or at 15% moisture content). Most timbers under this specifications are actually heavy and strong to be considered as Heavy Hardwoods, but they became less sufficient natural durability when exposed to the weather or in contact with the ground and treatment with preservatives is necessary before use.

Heavy Hardwood: Heavy to very heavy constructional timbers, the density range is from 800 to 1,120 kg/m3 air dry (or at 15% moisture content). They are considered very durable therefore can be safely used without preservative treatment. However, the sapwood of these timbers is not durable.

SAWN TIMBER
Density: 880-1,155 kg/m3 air dry.
Color/Appearance: Heartwood is red-brown or claret red in colour and is attractively streaked with lighter coloured layers and having a small brown-black corewood.
Grain/Texture: Grain is considerably straight, texture is fairly fine and even
