Plywood is a tough wooden board that consist of few layers of wood veneers that are glued and pressed together. The purpose of plywood's cross grain is to reduce expansion and shrinkage of the wood while providing overall consistent strength (by at least 25 - 40 times) to promote stability and balance. The bonded plywood with alternating grains reduces "warping" of the wood. Further chemical coating and treatment do not affect the quality of the wood.
Origin : Malaysia
A more durable species is selected to ensure our Marine plywood is able to resist rotting in a high-moisture environment. Each wood veneer has negligible core gap, limiting water trappings in the wood.
The usage of Phenol Formaldehyde enhance its strong and excellent water resistant properties. This plywood is often used in the construction of docks and boats, lake platform, bathroom and kitchen wall or subflooring. Our marine plywood is compliant with the British standard BS 1088.
