About Hydrogen Fluoride. Hydrogen Fluoride (a.k.a. HF, Fluorane) is a colorless to brown liquid or gas. It is soluble in water forming hydrofluoric acid. It is widely used as a component of superacids in the petrochemical industry. Hydrogen fluoride is highly dangerous because when in contact with moisture, it forms hydrofluoric acid which is very corrosive and can cause blindness.

Commercial Grades. Gas (up to 99.9% purity hydrogen fluoride); Aqueous solution (38%, 47,% 70%)

Uses. Hydrogen Fluoride is mainly used as chemical/petroleum alkylation catalyst and semiconductor manufacturing agent.
