Product Description

TIANTAI fermentation tanks
(fermenters/fermentors) are tanks with a
tori spherical top, cylindrical body, and conical
bottom, and are insulated, with cooling jackets over
the cylindrical body and the bottom.
In
most cases, these tanks work under pressure and
therefore they’re equipped with safety fittings.
Their standard equipment also includes a washing
device and a manhole for inside access.

The
special tank bottoms' design helps collect the
residues of the hop yeasts and separates them from
the beer.


Our
fermenters comply with all applicable standards and
can be designed based on the Pressure Equipment
Directive and legislation of different
countries.

Our
conical fermenter allows for the fermentation and the
ageing/storing of the brewing process to occur in the
same vessel. The
cone bottom collects the sediment which
is then easily removed by slowly opening a bottom valve
until the liquid runs clear, leaving the beer to age.
For this reason, they are often referred to as
"Uni-Tanks" as opposed to their flat-bottom
counterparts which require transferring beer to a
secondary conditioning tank to separate the
sediment.


Each
TIANTAI's fermenting and storage tank is completely
manufactured from stainless steel, operable up to 2
bar pressure and comes with CE certification,
PU-insulation, cooling jackets, cleaning nozzles and
a safety unit.

Our
adjustable racking
arm provides maximum beer recovery, and our
fermentation tanks are fitting with high-efficiency
glycol cooling
jackets.

Pour-in polyurethane foam
insulation has a high insulating value and
expands to fill every corner of the insulating space
achieving a superior performance compared to fibre
batts.

The
sanitary drain valve is kept close to the bottom
of the fermenter to prevent yeast and wort from being
held in piping at room temperature, resulting in
spoilage and off-flavours.

How
do you choose the size of fermenters?
The ratio of the fermenters’
capacity to the capacity of the brewhouse can be 1 to 1
or 1 to 2. The capacity of fermenters should be
multiple by the capacity of the brewhouse. Which means
batches of different dates should better not fill in
the same fermenter. Capabilities per day=capacities of
fermenters * amount of fermenters/fermentation
duration The average fermentation duration of
Ale beer is 1-2 weeks, and the average fermentation
duration of lager beer is 2-4 weeks. Assumed that the
average fermentation duration of your beer is 12 days,
so the capabilities of 6*1000 L fermenters per day are:
1000 litres * 6 / 12 days =500 litres beer
