Thyme is the herb (dried aerial parts) of some members of the genus Thymus of aromatic perennial evergreen herbs in the mint family Lamiaceae. It has culinary, medicinal, and ornamental uses, and the species most commonly cultivated and used for culinary purposes is Thymus vulgaris.

Product Specifications

It is a dark olive green to grey spice mix with cream colored seeds interspersed throughout. Common spices in the blend include marjoram, thyme, oregano, savory, toasted sesame seeds, dried sumac, and salt. Za’atar Spice has a pleasing flavor balance of citrusy, earthy and woodsy notes with subtle warm caramel hints from the toasted sesame seeds. It is similar to the more commonly used Italian Spice seasoning blend.
