Xylitol is a sugar alcohol which is used as a sweetener in white
crystalline powder form. Xylitol is actively beneficial for
dental health by reducing cavities and helpful to
remineralization in tooth enamel. It occurs naturally in low
concentrations in the fibers of many fruits and vegetables, and
can be extracted from various berries, oats, and mushrooms, as
well as fibrous material such as corn husks and sugar cane
bagasse.
Xylitol is chemically pure and contains no additives,
preservatives or colors. It is used in foods, chewing gum,
mouthwash & toothpaste, pharmaceuticals, dietetic products, and
cosmetics.
