Surface Materials and Technology of Terrazzo

Traditional terrazzo

(1) Materials: copper bars, white cement and marble above 42.5 are used.

(2) Construction process: find the elevation → bounce the horizontal line → bounce the grid line → inlay copper strips or glass strips → stir the terrazzo mixing material → apply the cement slurry bonding layer → lay the terrazzo mixing material → rolling (can be polished after 3 days) → 2~3 times of plastering repair is needed after grinding (about 2 days for each repair).

(3) Partition a large area, generally within 1 square meter.

New terrazzo

(1)Material: The core of the surface layer is a low temperature polymer grindstone (the mixture has crack resistance, fast setting, fast hardening, high strength, high adhesion); aggregate: granite, quartz, glass, ceramics, natural colored sand and other prefabricated bags. The accessories include copper strips, stainless steel strips, and module patterns.

(2) Construction process: mechanical grinding to ensure overall smoothness, directly and quickly install dividing strips or fixed pattern templates (because the ground is already flat).

(3) Increase the construction technology of the interface between the cushion layer and the surface layer to prevent the surface layer from breaking.

The new type of terrazzo is easy to operate, the material is automatically leveled, and there is no need for repeated rolling and maintenance.

Grinding Process:

Traditional terrazzo

1.Material: Diamond head.

2.Machinery: traditional single-head, single-speed terrazzo grinder.

3.Grinding method: cross-grinding, requiring a lot of water.

4.Construction pollution is large, it is difficult to protect the cost, and other constructions are affected.

5.Grinding efficiency: extremely low.

6.Grinding effect: poor overall flatness.

7.Unsafe process.

New terrazzo

(1)Material: Diamond bit and resin grinding stone.

(2) Machinery: Use professional large-scale floor grinder, dust-free grinding device.

(3) Grinding method: Tic-tac-toe cross, dry grinding, use industrial vacuum cleaner, collect dust while grinding (the collected dust can be recycled).

(4) Environment Influence: During the grinding process, there is no dust, no mud, and no environmental pollution, and the decoration cross operation can be carried out at the same time.

(5) Grinding efficiency: high

(6) Grinding effect: The overall flatness is high, and the pollution is small, but the grinding process is cumbersome, the cost of professional grinding tool is high, 6~7 grinding processes are required, and the cost is high.

(7) The process is safe.
