Soybean Meal (D.O.C.) is used in food and animal feeds, principally as a protein supplement, but also as a source of metabolizable energy.

Soybean meal has an excellent profile of essential amino acids and these amino acids are highly digestible. Soybean meal has the highest lysine digestibility of any on the commonly available protein sources. It also ranks high in methionine, cystine and threonine digestibility.

The protein quality and composition of soybean meal makes it very digestible for livestock and fish. This means these animals use less energy to convert soybean meal into needed nutrients to help them grow.
