Hammer carbonate , Na 2 CO 3 , (also known as washing soda , soda ash , and soda crystals ) is an inorganic compound with the formula Na 2 CO 3 and its various hydrated species. The shape is white water-based salt. All forms have a strong base taste and produce isobase solvents in water. Historically, it was extracted from the ashes of plants grown in clay-rich soil. Because the ashes of these forging-rich plants were distinctly different from the wood ash (which was once used to produce hammering) , carbonated hammers were called "soda ash." [12] It is produced in large quantities from iron kryptonite and limestone by the Solvay process . Purity is one of the most important chemical raw materials, widely used in chemical industry, glass, metallurgy, papermaking, printing and dyeing, synthetic detergent, petrochemical, food, medical and health industries. The cost is large, and it occupies a pivotal position in the national economy.
