Fused calcium
aluminate (pre-melted aluminum calcium slag) is mainly used
in LF furnace, open hearth, converter ladle refining to
remove impurities such as sulfur and oxygen in the molten
steel and reduce the content of harmful elements and

3. Product features:
1. Reasonable chemical composition is conducive to slag
formation as soon as possible and smelting time is

4. Usage analysis:
1. Desulfurization
In the refining process, the ratio of molten slag to molten
steel is used to control the sulfur content in steel. Sulfur is
one of the common harmful elements in steel, which has many
adverse effects on the properties of steel. Therefore, the
greater the desulfurization capacity of refining agent, the
lower the sulfur content of liquid steel.
2. Desulfurization
There are two kinds of oxygen in molten steel, dissolved oxygen
and combined oxygen, which can be removed by slag in the form
of inclusions. In the refining process, a certain amount of
deoxidizer is added to make the dissolved oxygen in the steel
convert into oxide to a large extent, and it can float up
through its own buoyancy and appropriate low blowing argon
stirring, and finally enter the slag layer for adsorption. In
addition, oxygen in molten slag and molten steel obeys the
distribution law. When the reducing refining agent contacts
with molten steel, the dissolved oxygen in steel can diffuse
into the slag to deoxidize the molten steel.
3. Adsorbed impurities
In the refining process, due to the strong stirring effect of
low argon blowing, the emulsified slag will contact with the
liquid steel in a large area, and the chance of contact between
the slag and the impurities (especially the impurities with
large particles) in the steel will increase sharply. Because
the refining slag is the ionic melt formed by the melting of
oxides, and the impurities in the steel are mostly oxide melts,
The impurities in steel are easy to be integrated with slag
drops, dissolve and combine with each other to form larger slag
drops, and then capture other impurities. Because of the
greater buoyancy, the large volume droplets will quickly float
up and melt into the slag layer on the surface of liquid steel.
The emulsified slag droplets can become the nucleation crystal
of deoxidation products, so that the deoxidation products can
quickly form stable compounds, reduce the chemical potential of
deoxidation products in liquid steel, make the reaction develop
in the direction of favorable deoxidation, and accelerate the
deoxidation reaction. Due to the high content of Al2O3 in the
refining agent, the composition of the slag becomes very
stable, and the properties of the slag will not change with the
entry of deoxidation products (Al2O3). Therefore, the refining
agent always maintains a very stable ability of deoxidation,
desulfurization and impurity removal.
4. Protective effect on furnace lining
Because there is about 8% - 10% MgO in the refining agent, the
MgO of the slag is basically saturated, so the MgO contained in
the ladle lining near the slag line can only be dissolved in a
small amount in the slag, so as to reduce the erosion of the
ladle lining. Secondly, the foaming submerged arc effect of the
refining agent is good, which reduces the arc erosion on the
ladle lining and improves the ladle life.
5. Packaging
Plastic lined composite woven bag (1000kg) packaging, can also
be used according to customer requirements in other forms of
packaging.
