In 1954, Salvador Dalí created
at his suggestion by Señor Mauricio Duchin, minister in the
then the Spanish government, six ceramic objects objects of
high artistic rank. The production took place in the
well-known ceramic manufactory “EL SIGLO” in Onda (Castellón)
in en- ger cooperation with the master, who after
Verification and approval permitted, his signature burn into
each individual object. Of the total circulation of 10,000
were probably only 2,000 sets for the European market true,
which at that time was collected in a very short space of
time learned, investors and museums. the. The work consists
of six objects was quickly considered completely sold

The production
of Dalí ceramic objects at EL SIGLO builds on time-honored
traditions on, which has evolved over time and to a high
level of quality. The cleaned base mass is portioned and in
the form frame to the object format waltzes. After drying,
the shape takes on its shape first fire. Now the surface will
be with a Glaze coated on top after drying the motif is
transferred by hand. Now done a second glaze, the so-called
smooth firing and the careful control of each individual
piece ckes. Objects that meet Dalí's high standards were not
sufficient and were rigorously sorted out destroyed. Each
tile is therefore unique, because color and degree of burning
as well as fixation Glazing was done individually and
slightly ex- inclusive deviations therefore every work of art
makes it unique
