Ketoconazole (KEtoconazole) is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent of imidazoles, marketed under the trade names Jindakine, Mikangling, and Koning, which inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterols on fungal membranes by highly selective interference with the activity of the cytochrome P-450 of fungi. It is effective for both shallow and deep fungal infection, which can inhibit fungal growth and the transformation of spores into mycelium to prevent further infection.
