Most perforated metal has round holes. Why? Round hole punches are easier to make and maintain than other hole shapes, resulting in greater efficiency and less expense. Molds and blocks are easier to fabricate, last longer, and produce stronger patterns than other hole shapes.

Technical capabilities for perforated metal:

Perforation size: 0.5mm-150mm. (Other perforation sizes available upon request)

Sheet thickness: Common thickness: 0.4mm-12mm. JD can punch holes up to 25mm thickness upon special request/order

Paper size: Standard sizes include 2mx1m, 2.44mx1.22m, 2.5mx1.25m and 3mx1.5m. 4mx2m sheets of paper are punched on our large machine. For special requirements, the length of the hole can be up to 6m.

Opening Percentage: All openings are possible, but standard tooling typically ranges from 20% to 60% open area

Materials include : stainless steel plate, aluminum plate, steel plate, galvanized steel and brass , etc.

Hole patterns can be used for:

Filter and control gases and fluids

Suppresses jet engine noise while allowing air flow

Filter air to keep electronics clean and cool
