ML08Al is a low carbon cold heading steel, which is the main steel for the production of standard parts below 4.8 grade and non-standard parts with various complex shapes. The product has the advantages of stable composition, low harmful elements, high purity of steel, high dimensional accuracy, few surface defects, stable cold heading performance and so on. It usually does not need heat treatment when used. The development of high-quality cold forming steel (ML08AL) below Grade 4.8 won the first prize of local city Science and Technology Progress in 2003 and the third prize of Local State Science and Technology Progress.
