Product Details

Kwik seal

Mixture of vegetable fibers, synthetic fibers, cellophane flakes and granulated nut shells for addition to oil well drilling fluids.

Kwik-Seal® additive is a blend of granular, flake, and fibrous materials designed primarily to stop lost circulation in a wide range of conditions with water-based drilling fluids. To function effectively over the widest range of lost circulation conditions, Kwik-Seal additive is available in the following three grinds:

Coarse grind is used to seal large fractures and highly

Permeable formations and can be pumped easily

Through large jets or open pipe.

Medium grind is used in sealing medium-to-fine

Fractures and porous zones and can be used with most

Jet bits.

Fine grind is used where seepage losses are a problem,

Such as with fine fractures or porous formations. Fine

Grind can be circulated through course-mesh shaker

screens and can be maintained in the mud as a filler

KWIK-SEAL

TYPE. 1

Lost circulation material

Description

KWIK-SEAL is a superior engineered product. It contains a combination of flake , granular and fibrous materials of selected sizes , shapes , and durability . The percentage and particle size distribution of each component results in a product that has wide application for controlling loss of circulation.

KWIK-SEAL is available in fine , medium , and , coarse grades.

Application

For the control and elimination of circulation due to fractures , highly permeable zones or broken unconsolidated formations . KWIK-SEAL is considered to be more effective than other products in sealing loss zones, regardless of the type of lost

circulation.

Recommended treatment

KWIK-SEAL (coarse) is recommended for the sealing of very large fractures . It should be used with open water course bits or an open ended drill pipe and spotted opposite the loss zone . A slug containing 30 to 40 ppb (85 to 114 kg/m3) of product is usually sufficient.

KWIK-SEAL ( medium) seals medium to fine fractures and porous zones. It can be used with jet bits and a concentration of between 10 to 15 ppb (26 to 43 kg/m3) is recommended.

KWIK-SEAL (fine) should be used as a preventive material for sealing fine fractures and porous formations . A concentration if between 3 to 6 ppb (8.5 to 17 kg/m3) is recommended. It will not plug shale shaker screens.

Packaging

KWIK-SEAL is packaged in 25 kg net export PP bags that are laminate by one ply PE and 40 bags at one wood palette shirringed , or 40 bags in one Ton heavy big bag by one PE ply.
