A
control transformer (SCR for short) is a device that converts DC
voltage into AC voltage. It consists of three parts: rectifier
circuit, control circuit, and inverter. The basic principle is:
when the input power is converted into DC through the rectifier,
the output voltage is changed in a certain proportion by
controlling the switch, so as to achieve the purpose of changing
the output voltage.
There
is no difference between the principle of a control transformer
and an ordinary transformer, but the use is different. Control
transformers are widely used, and can be used for step-up and
step-down. The working principle of the control transformer is
based on the principle of electromagnetic induction. The
transformer has two sets of coils, the primary coil, and the
secondary coil. When the primary coil is connected to alternating
current, the transformer core generates an alternating magnetic
field, and the secondary coil generates an induced electromotive
force.
