Product Description

Product Description
Automotive grade urea (AGU) 46%N is a very special sort of prilled urea which has to be uncoated (=not treated with formaldehyde). This kind of urea is used by our customers for the production of aqueous urea solutions which has to be the highest purity.
The urea we supply to our customers is produced by large gas based plants. it has the highest purity level which is required in order to meet the ISO22241 requirements which are defined for the 32,5% aqueous urea solution . There are only few manufacturers in the whole world which are able to produce the automotive grade urea and ensure that the quality parameter remain stable and in accordance to the ISO norm.
How Diesel Exhaust Fluid Works:When injected into the exhaust stream with a specialized dosing module, DEF's water vaporizes, leaving NH3 molecules en route to the catalytic converter; once there, it converts NOx molecules into harmless nitrogen and water vapor-making for cleaner emissions. Making sure you do not run out of DEF in an SCR equipped truck is simple - watch the DEF gauge, which is part of the diesel fuel gauge, for when it is time to refill. DEF is stored in a dedicated tank next to the fuel tank on the driver's side. The tanks range in size from 6 to 23 gallons depending on the truck's application.
The DEF tank fill opening is designed to accommodate a DEF fill nozzle to ensure only DEF is put into the tank. A diesel fuel nozzle will not fit into the DEF tank opening. Our patented closed liquid dispensing system provides everything you need to effectively dispense your DEF. For DEF to work well product integrity is critical, and our dispensing systems are the only way to maintain this quality. These reusable systems are also cost effective by providing a significant savings over single-use containers. DEF dispensing systems are available in configurations for fleets, retailers and commercial applications. DEF is key to helping improve fuel economy by up to five percent while simultaneously reducing exhaust emissions.

The market for DEF is being created due to the new emission requirements promulgated by the EPA to meet the most recent Clean Air Act specifications. As depicted below the progressive reduction in diesel emissions has driven tremendous changes in engine requirements over the past 15 years. These efforts have been focused on reducing particulates, S, and NOX emissions. DEF is focused on meeting the 2010 requirement for NOX emissions reductions.
The specific approach used to reduce NOX emissions requiring DEF is referred to as SCR or Selective Catalytic Reduction. SCR uses a chemical called Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF / Urea) and a SCR catalytic converter to significantly reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions in diesel engines.
