The forced-circulation vacuum evaporation crystallizer developed by our company can be used for the vacuum evaporation crystallization (commonly known as sugar boiling) of products such as sucrose, anhydrous dextrose, monosodium glutamate, amino acids, xylitol, maltitol, isomaltitol, mannitol, and citric acid. We can equip the crystallizer with a computer program control system (commonly known as microcomputer-controlled sugar boiling) according to customer requirements.
The equipment features a new type of mechanical seal at the top, providing excellent sealing performance. The bottom bearing is lubricated with clean water instead of grease, eliminating the risk of product contamination. The agitator is of propeller type, which ensures good forced circulation effect with low power consumption. A special microscope is installed at the sight glass, allowing convenient observation and measurement of crystal conditions.
Working Principle:
During the crystallization process, indirect steam heating is
applied, and the solvent water is continuously evaporated under a
stable vacuum condition. The continuous reduction of the solvent
keeps the solution in a supersaturated state, thereby causing
crystals to precipitate and grow steadily.
Vacuum evaporation crystallization operates at a relatively high crystallization temperature, which offers three main advantages:
Using the vacuum evaporation crystallizer to complete the crystallization process also allows real-time observation of the crystallization condition through the microscope-equipped sight glass. If false crystals are detected, they can be promptly addressed, ensuring uniform particle size of the final product. Additionally, the final product particle size can be controlled by adjusting the amount of seed crystals added, meeting different particle size requirements of various customers (the more seeds added, the smaller the particle size; conversely, the fewer seeds added, the larger the particle size).
The vacuum evaporation crystallizer generally completes the crystallization process at a temperature stabilized between 60–68°C. Materials with a saturated solution viscosity exceeding 500 cp at this temperature are generally not suitable for this process.
This equipment has been granted a National Utility Model Patent in China.
