How does drum wood chipper machine work?

Wood materials enter the chipper cavity through the conveyor system and the feeding port. Wood materials are chipped into wood chips under the shearing stress of the high-speed rotating flying knives and the bed knife installed on the machine base. The qualified chips pass through the screen holes below the knife roll and are discharged through the discharging port. A little larger wood chips, which cannot pass through the screen holes, continue to be chipped again.

System

Drum wood chipper machine consists of the frame, knife roller, upper feeding port and lower feeding port, conveying device, and hydraulic system.

The base of the drum chipper is welded with high-strength steel plates and is the supporting base for the entire drum chipper.

Two flying knives are mounted on the knife roller. And the flying knife is fixed on the knife roller by the pressure block and the specially manufactured flying knife bolt.

The upper feeding roller can variable up and down within a certain range through the hydraulic system, according to the thickness of wood materials.

The qualified wood chips fall through the mesh screen hole and are discharged at the bottom. Meantime, the large pieces will be chipped again.

Drum chipper machine hydraulic system is convenient to replace the knives, to adjust the gap between the flying knives and the bed knives.

The main raw materials for drum wood chipper machine are small diameter wood, timbers, wood residues, such as branches, board skins, slats, round wood cores, waste veneers, wood waste, etc.
