Bitmain released the Antminer L3 series at the
end of 2016, which comes with the self-developed
Litecoin chip BM1485. BM1485, the first Litecoin
Application Specific Integrated Circuit, is a
useful chip for Litecoin miners. Each Litecoin
miner comes with 288 such chips to deliver more
hash rates and efficiency. Antminer L3 series
include three models: Antminer L3 (250Mh/s and
power consumption 400W), Antminer L3+ (500Mh/s
and 800W), Antminer L3++ (580Mh/s and 942W).
Litecoin miners are also known as Scryptminers.
Apart from Litecoin mining, the miner is suitable
for any cryptocurrency based on Scrypt.
The Antminer L3++ has four hash boards with two
PCI-E 6PIN interfaces and four cables connected
to the controller. The data cables have a buckle
design that ensures tight contact for stable data
transfer. It comes with Bitmain's 10nm
Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC)
chip, which increases efficiency and
productivity.
The Antminer L3++ comes with an APW3-12-1600-B2 power supply unit, which has a conversion rate of 93%. The indoor temperature is about 26℃ and about 20℃ at night.
The Antminer L3++ has a low power consumption
rate. It is evident that Bitmain also has people
looking to mine at home in mind. As seen in the
power consumption of the Antminer L3, L3+, L3++,
which consume the power of 800W,850W, and 942W,
respectively. For users with free electricity,
low power consumption is an added advantage as it
reduces electricity costs and brings up
profitability. Calculating the electricity cost
at 0.1 per KWh, users can still see a reasonable

to the same hashing board. Bitmain
recommends the APW7 to power the Antminer
E3.
Separate power supply to control board:
there will be one additional six-pin PCIe
connector on the IO board, which must be
connected to the PSU to get power. It would
be best if you were sure to power on the
miner only after all PCIe connectors are
connected to the power supply.
