We offer two tried and tested design options for the time being. Focused on manufacturing a set amount of units per month for export only, and taking shipping into consideration, we provide a flat pack solution to take up minimal space during transportation but is easily assembled when it reaches your destination.
We use Kiaat (a species of the Pterocarpus genus). The wood is renowned for its termite and borer resistance. Kiaat grows in low-lying bushveld areas from the Congo to South Africa. The timber is very stable with a remarkable strength-to-weight ratio. The finish and feel are similar to Walnut and have a Janka hardness of 1360. Our light wood option is Limba wood. Extremely stable and a goo strength to weight ratio and a Janka hardness of 690.
Our aim is to manufacture a set amount of tables per month and to focus on quality rather than quantity. We only purchase stock from selected suppliers who source wood from sustainable sources, kiln dried, fumigated and certified. To contribute to its sustainability we are initiating a project to plant two trees for each unit we sell.
