This honey is one of the most appreciated by consumers because its specific aroma is extremely subtle, delicate and therefore very pleasant for any taste. With a high fructose content (the fructose / glucose ratio is on average 1.5, so above the threshold of 1.3), acacia honey has a low glycemic index, being a natural sweetener with nutritional, energy and medicinal properties (laxative, diuretic, prebiotic). Acacia honey is rich in bioactive substances with antioxidant role (vitamins, enzymes, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, minerals, organic acids), some even specific to this variety of honey (acacetin), all with antioxidant and immuno-modulatory effects.
