Founded by Dr. Fried, Doctor In The HouseTM is
a dynamic team of dedicated, highly trained and
conscientious healthcare professionals on a mission
to develop new, highly effective home health
treatment methods and products. In addition, Dr.
Fried has written a series of self-help books to help
patients unlock the power of these non-surgical
approaches to recovery.
In his long and distinguished career, Dr. Fried has
treated thousands of patients with complex nerve
problems. He has also lectured and written
extensively in the areas of pain and nerve disease
and standard as well as alternative healing. His
books, A Surgeon’s Self Hypnosis Healing Solution,
Light at the End of the Carpal Tunnel: A Guide to
Understanding and Relief from the Pain of Nerve
Problems, and The Carpal Tunnel Help Book, grew out
of his years of experience, research and an in-depth
understanding of
medical and alternative treatments for nerve-related
traumas. Supplementing Doctor in the House, The Upper
Extremity Institute, is a division of the Montgomery
County Hand Center, and was
founded in 1991 by Dr. Fried. The Institute’s sole
mission is the compassionate, conservative care of
upper extremity injuries. Dr. Fried is a
board-certified orthopedic surgeon, fellowship
trained hand surgeon and a hand and upper extremity
specialist, and a fellow with the American
Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics. Affiliated with
Mercy Suburban Hospital and the president of the
Upper Extremity Institute, he has treated thousands
of patients with complex nerve problems. He has also
lectured and written extensively in the areas of pain
and nerve disease as well as the advantages of
standard and alternative healing practices. Some of
