The POM based sliding bearing also called DX bush, limit lubrication bearing, oil-free bearing, dry bearing, DX bearing and POM coated smooth dry sleeve. It has a similar material structure with a DU ring. The difference is in the coated layer of POM.
These bearing materials consist of a metal backing bonded to a porous bronze sintered layer with a POM-based polymer support layer. The metal backing ensures mechanical strength, while the bronze sinter layer provides a strong mechanical bond between the backing and the bearing lining, a POM based polymer extremely low friction even in dry conditions.
1. POM with lead 0.3~0.5mm.
2. Porous bronze 0.2~0.3mm.
3. Steel backing 0.4~2.2mm.
4. Copper plating 0.008mm.
Depending on the application requirements, self-lubricating bearings can be produced in many shapes and sizes, from inside diameters from 10mm to over 300mm.
·Suitable for rotary and oscillating motion
·Good damping performance, good resistance to shock loads
·Lower maintenance requirements due to long relubrication
intervals
·Less wear, less susceptibility to edge loading, no water
absorption and therefore no swelling
POM composite bushings are suitable for applications where a
sliding material with self-lubricating properties is essential.
Examples of application areas of these sleeves are:
• agricultural equipment
• construction machinery
• material handling equipment
• household appliances and consumer goods
POM composite plain bearings are designed for edge lubrication. The sliding surface of these plain bearings contains grease containers that must be filled before assembly. These plain bearings do not need to be re-lubricated, but the presence of lubricant can significantly extend the life of the plain bearings. Grease can be applied at regular intervals to protect the counter surface from corrosion.
