Bimetallic plain bearings are made of bronze and steel alloy. The soft bronze inner layer can provide good grease oil lubrication performance, the hard steel back can provide good support all over the bearing and reduce cost.
These bearings are mainly used for bearing arrangements where heavy loads need to be supported and where rotary or oscillating movements are relatively slow.

Wrapped plain bearing composite material, copper or tin plated steel sheets with a layer of lead bronze, DIN 1494 / ISO 3547, maintenance free, with grease pockets.

For heavy loads and shock load conditions, bimetallic bearings have anti-corrosion capabilities and are easy to install, making them ideal for emergency replacements.
