Matters need attention for setting drum guardrail:
1. Roller guardrail can be used as side guardrail of subgrade section, median guardrail, and bridge guardrail of small bridge, passage and open culvert.
2. Roller guardrail can be used as the end guardrail upstream of the driving direction. The roller guardrail should be set up at the end of the interworking shunt triangle. When the number of lanes in the road section is reduced, the roller guardrail is set in the transition section. Tunnel entrance should be set up roller guardrail to strengthen section transition.
3. The compactness of subgrade soil in the side and median shall meet relevant standards and requirements, and concrete and other measures shall be taken to strengthen it if necessary.
4. Transition treatment should be carried out between drum guardrail and other types of guardrail.
5. The rotating drum should be yellow, indicating warning.
6. When the roller guardrail is set on the inside of the carriageway or the median, the color of the reflective strip should be yellow; when it is set on the outside of the carriageway, the color of the reflective strip should be white.
7. The roller guardrail should not set the reflective delineators.
When the Horizontal Curves Radius is less than the following table, the roller guardrail should be set in the section of the Horizontal Curves.
