POM polyoxymethylene, English name is acetal resin, polyoxymethylene, polyacetal, referred to as POM, commonly known as "super steel" or "saigang". POM has excellent physical and mechanical properties due to its regularity and crystallinity, which is known as metal plastic.

 

POM is a kind of linear polymer without side group, high density and high crystallization. It has high elastic modulus, high hardness and stiffness, and can be used for a long time at - 40 ~ 100 ℃. Moreover, it can withstand repeated impact for many times and has little change in strength. The strength is little affected by temperature and temperature change. POM is a kind of thermoplastic material with superior fatigue resistance and low creep.

 

Homoparaformaldehyde is a hard and dense material with translucent or opaque light yellow or white particles, smooth and shiny surface, and thin-walled products are translucent.

 

According to the different chemical structures in its molecular chain, it can be divided into homoformaldehyde and co formaldehyde. The important differences between the two are: homoformaldehyde has high density, cleanliness and melting point, but poor thermal stability, processing temperature range (about 10 ℃) and slightly low acid-base stability; The density, crystallinity, melting point and strength of CO formaldehyde are low, but it has good thermal stability, is not easy to decompose, has a wide processing temperature range (50 ℃), and has good stability to acid and alkali.
