Oxytetracycline Injection

Compositon:

5%; 10%; 20%.

Indications

Oxytetracycline injection is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by, or associated with, oxytetracycline-sensitive organisms.

Oxytetracycline is for the treatment and control of pasteurellosis and pneumonia caused by oxytetracycline-sensitive organisms, and as an aid in the treatment of infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis due to sensitive strains of Moraxella bovis. May also be of value for foul-in-the-foot, acute severe mastitis, infectious ovine keratonconjunctivitis (pink-eye) and tick-borne fever. It may also be of value in the treatment of tick pyaemia in lambs, as an aid in the control of yersiniosis.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
For intramuscular, subcutaneous or slow intravenous injection
The general dose:
10-20mg/kg body weight, daily
Adult: 2ml per 10 kg body weight daily
Young animals: 4ml per 10kg body weight daily
Treatment during 4-5 consecutive days

CAUTION:
Do not exceed the above mentioned dosage

Stop medication at least 14 days prior to slaughter of the animals for meat purpose

Milk of treated animals should not be used for human consumption 3 days post administration.

Keep out of reach of children

meat: 14days;

milk; 4days
