FI-3A9F overhead fault indicator is a device used on 50Hz overhead lines for short-circuit/earth fault indications. FI-3A9F has a built-in lithium battery, and the device could also get electricity from the power line. The static working current is≤25uA, and the MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) is≥70000h. The FI adopts CREAT’s proprietary algorithm to ensure the line load telemetry accuracy and improve the accuracy of fault detection. At the same time, the FI meets the requirements of IP67 protection level and can adapt to harsh working environment.

Ø Wireless communication distance≥30 meters (greater than 3A2F which is 20 meters)

Ø The shortest recognition time for reclosing: 0.2s

Ø The shortest short-circuit current recognition time: 30ms

Ø Fault indication types: phase-to-phase short-circuit fault, single-phase ground fault, transient fault and permanent fault.

Ø Action characteristics: designed with three-stage mutation method. The users could adjust the mutation current and time setting based on the actual lines.

Ø Reset method: Timing reset; power-on reset; remote control reset and magnet reset;

Ø Battery interface: the battery is MOLEX brand 510050200 connector, and the user could prepare their own battery (14505 battery is recommended);

Ø Battery power supply: The batteries are connected in parallel. A single battery could also work normally, but the working time is halved.

Ø Sequence of Events (SOE): The indicator could store 64 event records, recording relevant information when the faults occurred (such as the load current before the fault, the magnitude of the fault current and etc.), assisting the customers to analyze the cause of the fault.

Ø Wave recording function: The indicator could store 2 fault waveforms, including the current before and after the fault, to assist the customers to analyze the cause of the fault.

Ø Self-check function: The indicator will automatically restart and enter the normal working status when it works abnormally.

Ø Parameter maintenance: The parameters of the indicator could be read, set and etc. through a portable handheld terminal.
