critical flow venturi nozzle as the main standard device.

9300:2005 "Measuring gas flow with critical flow venturi
nozzle", and has been verified/calibrated by the national legal
metrology agency.

overview
The
LNQ sonic nozzle method gas flow standard device mainly
consists of a Venturi sonic nozzle,
a
vacuum pump unit, a control gas
circuit, a test pipe circuit, sensors and control systems,
and calibration
testing software systems. The Venturi
sonic nozzle has several advantages such as a simple
structure,
stable performance, high accuracy, no
moving parts, easy maintenance, and a long calibration cycle
(five
years).
During operation, the gas to be
measured passes through a muffler, the meter under test, and
then enters
a
surge tank. It then flows through the sonic nozzle and
control valve into a buffer tank before
being
discharged into the atmosphere through
the vacuum pump unit. When the gas flowing through the
sonic
nozzle reaches the critical state, the
mass flow rate passing through the meter under test and the
nozzle
remains constant. Therefore, the flow
rate through the sonic nozzle is constant within a given
time
interval, and the system receives
signals from the gas meter, such as sampled signals,
temperature,
pressure, humidity sensors, and
calculates the error of the meter under
test.
The
device can receive various signals such as current, voltage,
and pulses in real-time. It can also use
a
dynamic image processor or
photoelectric sampler for automatic sampling of the meter
under test,
enabling dynamic
measurement.
