The Gulf Conformity Mark (G-Mark) is a mandatory requirement for low voltage electrical equipment (LVE) and childrens toys that are being imported or sold in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states
G-mark Application can be made by:
Primary requirement is to have CB report and EMC report from IEC 17025 accredited lab with the latest version of the standards along with Gulf. Note: EMC test report should cover CISPR & IEC standards.
Kindly provide the report for review and confirmation.
Also the following documents are required:
· Product Identity Declaration – PID (if necessary)
· Photos of the product & Packages.
· Declaration of conformity (annex 5 of the regulation)
· Request form (attached).
· Circuit Diagram & Component List
· Exploded View & BOM list
· Product Marking Plate/ Rating Plate
· User manual in English & Arabic
· Risk Analysis Report
· Valid Trade License of Applicant and Brand Owner
· Valid QMS Certificate of the factory (may be ISO 9001 Certificate)
· Product Dimensions
· Brand Registration Certificate
Before starting the procedure, an agreement will be signed between SGS Gulf Ltd and your company as per GSO requirements.
Labelling and marking are in addition to the standard ones, the below:
The GCTS shall be provided after finalizing the process by GSO to the notified body.
Starting from April 2017 onwards, GCTS (G Mark and QR Barcode) should be placed on the product and its packages.
