It is a kind of room temperature vulcanized silicone
rubber in condensation type. It's generally named as
two part silicone rubber, Part A is a flowable
liquid, part B is the curing agent or catalyst. It's
mainly used for all mold making with different size
and pattern.
1.Why does the silicone mold appear to dry outside
but wet inside?
Some molding silicone rubber is a kind of
condensation cure silicone rubber, which would get
solidified after absorbing moisture. While in order
to provide a significant shelf-life for the silicon
rubber, we will dry out the water in the silicon
rubber. So when the humidness is lower than 50%, this
would happen.
Solution: Add 0.1% water into the silicon rubber and
Stir over a low speed briefly when you use it.
2.Why does the silicone mold get burnt
out?
This consequence happens only because we have left
out the important notes when using unsaturated resin
materials to produce the products. The unsaturated
resin produces great heat when cured. So we should
demould the resin product within 3 minutes to avoid
this problem.

4.Why the silicone mould turns to be
sticky?
The main reason for this problem is that we do not
handle the products or original molds well.
We should deal with the mother mould carefully before
molding. Such as for the products with a
complicated
pattern or a unsmoothed surface, we should polish and
clean the products, then spray the release agent.
Normally, the release agent can be Vaseline,
detergent. liquid wax Etc. In practical process, you
can brush different release agent according to
different material.
The second reason is that the operator pour the
silicone into the mold when the mixture is not mixed
evenly, so the finished silicone mold will not cured
and dried entirely.
