What is a heated tobacco product?
When tobacco is burnt, it can reach temperatures in excess of
600'C, it's this extreme temperature that's one of the problem
with smoking.
Buring breaks down the tobacco and produces smoke which contains
more than 6000 chemicals. Around 100 of these chemicals have been
identified by public health experts as causes or potential
causesss of smoking related diseases.
Heating tobacco is heats tobacco to a temperature of up to 350°C,
without burning it and therefore has no fire, ash, or smoke. What
this means is that the levels of harmful chemicals in the
nicotine-containing aerosol are significantly reduced compared to
conventional cigarette smoke while delivering as much as possible
the taste, nicotine delivery, and ritual characteristics of
conventional cigarettes.
