Polypropylene is a polymer prepared by polymerization with propylene as monomer. The density is 0.89 ~ 0.91g /; Molding temperature: 160-220 ℃ molding shrinkage: 1.0-2.5% long term working environment: - 30-140 ℃ no environmental stress cracking problem (ESC) polypropylene is a non-toxic, odorless and tasteless milky white high crystalline polymer, which is usually a translucent colorless solid. Due to the regular structure and high crystallization, the melting point can be as high as 167 ℃.

1. Physical properties: heat resistance and corrosion resistance. The products can be sterilized by steam. Low density, is the lightest general-purpose plastic. The disadvantage is poor low-temperature impact resistance and easy aging, but it can be overcome by modification. Copolymer PP material has lower thermal deformation temperature (100 ℃), low transparency, low gloss and low rigidity, but has stronger impact strength. The impact strength of PP increases with the increase of ethylene content. The Vicat softening temperature of PP is 150 ℃. Due to its high crystallinity, this material has good surface stiffness and scratch resistance. PP has no environmental stress cracking problem. The melt mass flow rate (MFR) of PP is usually 1 ~ 100. PP material with low MFR has better impact resistance, but lower tensile strength. For the same MFR materials, the impact strength of copolymerization type is higher than that of homopolymerization type. Due to crystallization, the shrinkage of PP is quite high, generally 1.6 ~ 2.0%.

2. Mechanical properties: polypropylene has high crystallinity and regular structure, so it has excellent mechanical properties. The absolute value of mechanical properties of polypropylene is higher than that of polyethylene, but it is still a low variety in plastic materials, and its tensile strength can only reach 30 MPa or slightly higher. Polypropylene with larger isotactic index has higher tensile strength, but with the increase of isotactic index, the impact strength of the material decreases, but it does not change after it decreases to a certain value. At room temperature and low temperature, the impact strength is poor due to its high regularity of molecular structure. Polypropylene has excellent bending fatigue resistance, so it is commonly known as hundred fold glue.

3. Thermal performance: polypropylene has good heat resistance. The products can be sterilized at a temperature above 100 ℃, and will not deform at 150 ℃ without external force. The embrittlement temperature is - 35 ℃, embrittlement will occur below - 35 ℃, and the cold resistance is not as good as polyethylene.

Product Application 

1. Daily necessities: polypropylene is light, non-toxic, good performance, and can be used for steam disinfection, with a wide range of applications. In terms of household daily necessities, it can be used as kitchen utensils such as edible tableware, pots, baskets and filters, tableware such as mixing containers, snack boxes and cream boxes, bath basins, buckets, chairs, bookshelves, milk boxes and toys.

2. Household appliances: they can be used as refrigerator parts, electric fan, motor cover, washing machine barrel, hair dryer parts for hairdressing, hair curler, TV back cover, record player and recorder shell, etc.

3. Medical and industrial use: it can also be used for medical syringes and containers, infusion tubes and filter screens; Auto parts, chemical pipeline, storage tank, equipment lining, valve, filter plate and frame, Bauer ring packing for distillation tower, etc; Containers for transportation, food and beverage turnover boxes, packaging films, heavy packaging bags, binding belts and tool measuring boxes, briefcases, jewelry boxes, musical instrument boxes and other boxes, as well as all kinds of clothing products, carpets, artificial lawns and artificial ski resorts.

4. Other fields: it can be used as building materials, various appliances, ropes and fishing nets for agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, sideline and fishery.
