Product Description

Dioctyl phthalate (DOP) is an oily transparent liquid with a slight odor, molecular formula C24H38O4, molecular weight 390.5, relative density (d2020) 0.986, water solubility ≤0.01% (25ºC). It is widely used as a plasticizer with good comprehensive properties and good compatibility with rubber such as polyvinyl chloride, synthetic resin, and nitrocellulose. Widely used in various soft PVC plastics such as films, leather, wires, cables, molded products, etc.; widely used in rubber, paint and emulsifier industries, it can improve the resilience of products, reduce compression deformation, and vulcanize rubber no effect.

Applied

95% DOP is used as a plasticizer in PVC resin to make flexible vinyl. Products such as: vinyl upholstery, tablecloths, showers, curtains, raincoats, shoes, garden hoses, swimming pool liners, polymer coatings, cable coatings , paper and cardboard ingredients, defoaming agents, surface lubricants, by importance Sexual ranking.
The only significant non-plasticizer use of DOP is to replace polychyl biphenyl in dielectric furnaces for capacitors.
DOP's micelles are used as solvents for erasable inks, as clam killers for orchards, as an inert ingredient in insecticides, and as vacuum pump oil for detecting leaks in respirators.
