XH-OLP-S1-1-M双纤光纤断线自动倒换保护模块主要用于光网络的实时故障切换保护。在安装了XH-OLP-S1-1-M模块的光网络信号链路中，当主纤双纤通道光信号其中一项技术指标超过阈值（如功率下降设定的阈值，包括），XH-OLP-S1-1-M模块自动将信号从故障通道切换到备用通道，实现光信号通道的实时链路保护。用户可根据需要设置手动切换光路或自动切换光路。光保护模块通过两个模块的配合实现双纤倒换，因此当一个模块倒换备用光纤时，另一个模块也会自动切换到备用光纤；出现故障时，主光纤会自动切换。模块支持两种通讯接口：大网（RJ45）和串口（RS-232）。用户可以通过以太网接口或串口实现远程控制和本地控制。
