Sintered Bronze Bushings are tough, heat-resistant and high-strength bushings manufactured by sintering or powder metallurgy processes. Powder metallurgy uses a range of different metals to make metal powder parts, including aluminum, copper, nickel, brass, steel, stainless steel, nickel, and titanium.
Powdered metal parts have a proven track record of unmatched wear resistance and long life. They have tighter tolerances and can be self-lubricating by oil impregnation. Due to the smoother operation and self-damping properties, the metallic powder ensures quiet operation.
High sliding speeds and maintenance-free
The sintered bronze bearings are characterized by being
self-lubricating and do not require maintenance. Sintered bronze
bearings are made of porous bronze or iron and are usually filled
with oil. Their high permissible sliding speeds make these
sintered bronze bearings ideal for rotating applications.
Sintered bronze bearings material
Most sintered bronze bearings supplied by Viiplus are made from SINT A51 or comparable material and are impregnated with 18% - 20% mineral oil. Viiplus can also supply sintered iron or bronze bearings with MoS2. Always ask us for instructions when machining bearings. This is necessary due to the clogging of the pores.
Lubrication
Most sintered bronze bearings are filled with oil. When storing and installing sintered bronze bearings, do not allow them to come into contact with absorbent materials that can draw oil from the bearings. No additional lubrication is required under normal conditions.
We have sintered bronze bushings and oil impregnated bronze bushings here which are engine applications and uses in agricultural machinery, etc.
