Honey is a natural food and medicine produced by different species of bees from the nectar of flowers. This 100% pure natural honey is from the La Alcarria region (Spain) without additives of any kind, without antibiotics and without any heat treatment. Multi-flower honey comes from various pollen grains such as thyme, savory, rosemary and lavender. It is has been registered under the La Alcarria honey Denomination of Origin (DO) since November 11, 1992 and registered under the La Alcarria honey Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) since June 21, 1996. The PDO registration certifies and guarantees the origin, quality, product specifications and elaboration process to be used in the preparation of the honey.

Due to the honey´s very high quality, it can solidify over time. Pure and very high quality honey acts as a natural preservative so it does not spoil. Only honey that is 100% pure and natural will crystallize and become solid as time passes. Honey that always remains liquid is because it has been overheated, is not pure or has been adulterated, any of which will cause it to lose many of its properties and flavour.
