Brand Story:
In 1994, Li Zhaochun, a villager from Hongyuan New Village, went to a relative's house to help prune fruit trees, and found that a fruit tree did not grow very different, so he collected scion and grafted it onto his own small tree, and later transplanted the fruit tree to his own orchard, which entered the full fruiting period in 1998. In 2011, the first Yiyuan Apple Cultural Festival was held, and Li Zhaochun's apples won the first place in high-quality fruits. After winning the award, the county agricultural bureau organized experts to visit Li Zhaochun's orchard, found these unusual fruit trees, decided to name this variety with the resounding name of "Yiyuanhong", and set up a research group to carry out variety breeding, multiplication, supporting technology research, and variety approval. In October 2012, "Yiyuanhong" passed the provincial scientific and technological achievement appraisal and reached the leading level in China, filling the gap of short-branched Fuji apple striped red coloring varieties in Shandong Province.
In March 2013, the "Yiyuanhong" apple seedling breeding and cultivation demonstration was approved as a fund project for the transformation of agricultural scientific and technological achievements in Shandong Province. In September 2013, "Yiyuanhong" passed the approval of new varieties in the fourth standing committee of the sixth session of the Shandong Provincial Crop Variety Examination and Approval Committee. In September 2013, "Yiyuanhong" was selected and bred and won the first prize of Zibo Agricultural Harvest Award. In May 2014, he won the first prize of Zibo Science and Technology Progress Award. "Yiyuan Red" apples have won many awards at the Yiyuan County Apple Culture Festival, winning the only first prize in the first session, all the first prizes in the 10th, 7 first, second and third prizes in the 12th year with a total of 11 awards, and two "gold medals" in the "National Apple Industry High-quality Development Forum" held by the Institute of Pomology of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2020. Shu Huairui, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of Shandong Agricultural University, is very concerned about the breeding of new varieties of "Yiyuanhong", and has visited Linyiyuan many times and arrived at Hongyuan New Village for guidance. Product Overview:
1. Short branches. The branches are stout and the internodes are short, and the average length of the internodes is 2.19 cm, which is shorter than that of Nagatomi No. 2 and slightly longer than the short branches of Miyazaki, which has the typical characteristics of short branch type.
 
2. Strip red. The fruit is red all over, which fills the gap in the coloration of the short branch red Fuji red.
 
3. Big. The fruit was tall and upright, the fruit shape was neat, the average weight of a single fruit was 335.2 grams, and the fruit shape index was 0.87-0.91. It matures in mid to late October, the fruit development period is 185 days, and the growth period and phenological period are basically the same as those of Changfu No. 2, which is an excellent late-maturing variety.
 
4. Abundant and stable production. It has strong yield, high fruit setting rate, strong continuous fruiting ability of fruit moss branches, low fruit drop rate before harvest, strong photosynthetic ability of leaves, and no annual fruiting phenomenon.
 
5. High quality. The flesh is yellowish-white, crisp and juicy, the soluble solids content is 15.7%, the fruit hardness is 8.2-9.1 kg/cm2, the flavor is sweet, the quality is high, and the storage is shelf-stable.
