FAQ's

Vehicle Advanced Driving Assistance System (ADAS) uses image processing cameras, radar, light detection and ranging, and other sensors to monitor vehicle surrounding environment and detect potential dangerous conditions. It improves safety through advanced situation awareness and reduces the possibility of collisions. The sensors used in ADAS include cameras, radars, lasers, and ultrasonic. They can detect light, heat, pressure and other variants used to monitor vehicle state. Usually they are located on the front and rear bumpers, side mirrors, cab and windshield.
ADAS usually includes Traffic Message Channel (TMC), Intelligent Speed Adaptation (ISA), vehicle communication system and other driver assistance systems. Details are shown as below: 1. Vehicle cab: (1)-Lane Departure Warning System (2)-Lane keeping system (3)-Traffic sign/signal recognition (4)-Night vision system (5)-Driving status monitor (6)-Electric vehicle warning (7)-Downhill control 2. Front of vehicle: (1)-Adaptive front-lighting system (2)-Adaptive cruise control system (3)-Pedestrian detection system (4)-Emergency braking system 3. Rear of vehicle: (1)-Reversing image (2)-Parking Assist System (3)-Collision warning system 4. Side of vehicle: (1)-Around view monitor system (2)-Blind spot monitoring system
The front camera captures objects in front of the vehicle. It is used in many ADAS systems, including Lane Departure Warning system (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist system (LKA), and Traffic Sign/Signal Recognition (TSR) systems, usually provides input data together with other sensors, cameras or sensing systems.
ADAS radar sensors detect fixed and moving objects at different distances around the vehicle. Different ADAS systems use different radar types and frequencies. Ultra-Short-Range Radar (USRR) and Short-Range Radar (SRR) provide data for Blind Spot Detection (BSD) system and Lane Change Assist system (LCA), while systems including Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) use long-range radar.
A 360°or around view camera system uses multiple camera views to create a 360°top-down (overlook) view of surrounding vehicles. This system is used in passive (display commands) and active (automatic) vehicle parking assistance systems.
Under normal circumstances, the relevant auxiliary systems need to be calibrated after the accident fixed. It is necessary to calibrate auxiliary systems and other systems when disassembling or reinstalling monitoring components such as cameras, radars, sensors, replacing ECU, or when vehicle height changes. For example: You should perform ACC calibration in following conditions: 1. Repair or replace Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) radar sensor control unit; 2. The deviation angle of ACC radar sensor exceeds normal range; 3. Adjust the position of ACC radar sensor on vehicle body; 4. Repair or replace the bumper or parts that fix the front radar; 5. Adjust chassis.
According to different vehicle types, there are static calibration and dynamic calibration, or both are required. 1. Static calibration:Static calibration is generally completed in a workshop environment, using calibration main frame and vehicle corresponding target, and following the diagnostic software prompts to complete the calibration. 2. Dynamic calibration: Dynamic calibration requires vehicle running at a certain speed for a period of time under good road conditions, and calibrate by identifying road signs or vehicles.
No. Warning labels are affixed to the parts of device that may cause injury to operator or damage to device, which can help you quickly understand the conditions that may damage the device when using it. The diagnostic software will prompt step by step on how to place the product and what target to use. However, as ADAS Mobile is a sophisticated professional device, it is recommended that you read the user manual carefully before use to avoid personal injury or device damage.
No, ADAS Mobile adopts an integrated folding design. After you receive the device, take it out of the package, unfold the device and you can use it immediately without any assembly operations.
You can get the latest version of vehicle software in the upgrade center. After entering ADAS module on the homepage and binding activation, all ADAS functions and detailed operating instructions can be obtained.
After obtaining the ADAS activation card, click ADAS module on the homepage of diagnostic device. When it is detected that your current device serial number is not activated, the activation interface will be displayed. After entering your activation code, click Activate to start using ADAS related functions.
1. During your calibration process, the software will prompt the relevant calibration parameters in detail, including target number, distance, height, etc. According to software prompts, you will know what target to use and how to operate. 2. We provide supports for querying ADAS testable vehicles. By selecting the calibration vehicle information (brand, model, model year) to retrieve, you can clearly know what system of this vehicle can be calibrated, and what target should be used to calibrate this system.
Before using calibration tool to perform calibration, please ensure the following conditions first: 1. There should be no damage on vehicle sensor parts. 2. The bracket for fixing sensors cannot be deformed. 3. Check air pressure of tire and correct it to recommended value if necessary. 4. Tighten the parking brake and close the door. 5. Ensure that coolant and oil should be within the recommended range and fill up the fuel. The vehicle does not carry any items (passengers or cargo). 6. Connect VCI with vehicle to ensure that there are no fault codes in other systems except ADAS related systems. 7. Please use correct target and its distance parameters according to device step guide. Never support it on the vehicle during adjustment.
1. The surface of work area is flat, and there is enough space around vehicle to complete calibration procedure.(Recommended work area is 5mx9m) 2. No large obstacles in work area. 3. There is no external light source projection which will make uneven shadow on the target surface. 4. No strong light source projected to the front camera area. 5. There is no strong wind causing the target to shake.
Park the vehicle on a flat road with front wheels pointing to straight lines, and make sure that there is some space around the vehicle (generally, there should be no objects within 3 meters or 10 feet in front of vehicle).
The ADAS device and vehicle must be on the same level, and the deviation shall not exceed ±5°. If there is an uneven ground in the calibration environment, the casters at the bottom of ADAS Mobile device integrate a level adjustment knob with a long adjustment stroke. Rotate the calibration main frame caster knob can make compensation for the uneven ground to a certain extent.
After performing calibration function according to software prompts, the software will prompt whether it is successful and automatically generate a report. Normally, DTCs in the vehicle will also be eliminated after technician completes the calibration.
Yes. Existing targets, accessories, spare parts, and new launched targets can all be purchased separately. For specific sales policies, please consult your local dealer.
