Company Overview

OSA Technology Sdn Bhd (OSA) was primarily set up to introduce quality Malaysian made orthopaedic and medical devices to the ASEAN, Southeast Asia and Middle East markets.Its founder Dr Hyzan Mohd Yusof, an orthopaedic surgeon by profession has been involved in humanitarian work in Malaysia and countries like Afghanistan, Aceh, North Pakistan, Lebanon and other parts of the world. One observation he made from his past experiences was the acute scarcity of quality and affordable medical devices for surgical operations and treatment. Hence, giving rise to concerns for health and safety issues. With this realization, there was no stopping him from establishing OSA with his partners to provide niche orthopaedic products especially implants which are safe, affordable and accessible to patients.Another aim is to train and build a base of innovative home grown technical specialists who would have the ingenuity to develop and play important roles in the manufacturing process of these devices. For this purpose, OSA has started an education program to impart knowledge and updates on surgical procedures. To enhance quality and raise standards , OSA is at present collaborating with several local universities , namely Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Universiti Islam Antarabangsa and Univeristi Teknologi Mara as well as SIRIM .Though the worlds Medical Devices Industry has come a long way, it is still relatively new and a blue ocean industry in our region. There are a lot of areas to cover and potential to reap as the global market size is at an estimated USD 250 billion. OSA aspires to be in the forefront, not only serving the market domestically but regionally and internationally by producing a whole range of trauma osteosynthesis products. Othopeadic implants from OSC are widely used in surgical procedures and treatment of fractured bones in all Government hospitals and some private hospitals in Malaysia. We have also succeeded in marketing products to Indonesia, Cambodia and Germany and are linking up with reputable research companies in the US and Europe .We are most happy to announce that we have satisfied the stringent requirements of the ISO13485:2003 and received the prestigious European CE Marking certification.OSA now is confident to be a global medical manufacturer in a league of its own.
