Eric Boateng, a Registered Mental Health Nurse has niches the season and serving us The Nuga Skincare Products. Nuga translates as Shea Butter in the Kasane dialect of the people of the Upper East Region. According to Eric, Nuga is not only here to provide our skins with essential fatty acids and nutrients necessary for collagen production but importantly to provide daily meals for a decent number of widows in the Yendi Community. He says this idea came to be after he worked with an NGO. The NGO aimed to aid the widows by accurately taking them through the processes of Shea butter production. The only disadvantage to that was the fact that after the production, sales became a rather herculean task and that was when he decided to purchase their butter at wholesale prices, brand it, and distribute it on the market. That way, the widows get their fair share of income and he gets his part as well— a win-win venture.
