Company Overview

Merison Impex Pvt Ltd, established in 2013, is a Kolkata based manufacturer, supplier and exporter of branded and non-branded bags and related accessories made with jute, cotton, canvas and paper. We also manufacture work wear for manufacturing and other industries. Other than collecting the raw material directly from the manufacturers, all other works like cutting, stitching, printing, embroidery work, quality checking and packaging is done within the factory.

All the items are handcrafted by local artisans living on the outskirts of Kolkata. We believe in providing our artisans fair and ethical wages, a proper working environment, and ensure a sustainable flow of work.  We strongly oppose the use of unconventional practices like child labor, the use of lethal materials, and other unethical practices that degrade our society and environment as a whole.

As a part of our community development initiative, we have collaborated with DITO Social Welfare Association (www.ditoindia.org), a not-for-profit organization working towards women empowerment. A part of the proceeds from the sale of all our products goes towards supporting DITO initiatives.
