The fur company MerinoMood was established in 1995 in mountainous Kyrgyzstan by a small family. From the beginning, each member strived to bring their own strong individual strengths in developing the family business. Igor, ideas generator, engaged with shepherds and bought sheepskin, his wife created designs for a clothing line, his mother took up tailoring and his father, head of the family searched for clients and concluded contracts.
From the beginning until now, one thing was clear for the family - sheepskin is the best material to deliver natural comfort to a person. Due to its positive, healing, and comforting qualities it was chosen to be the main ingredient in our production line.
One of the proud accomplishments of the company is a full technological production cycle that was built during these 27 years. Every stage of the production is made by our company: selection, preparation, and processing raw materials, tanning, design of product lines, tailoring, wholesale and retail sales.
Our range is made to create maximum comfort and warmth for people. Our company manufactures outerwear for men and women such as sheepskin vests, coats, jackets, home slippers, winter hats and shpeepskin throws for home decor.

Since starting the business in 1995, our experience has enabled us to establish and maintain a consistently high standard across all of our products. Every step of the process – selecting the best skins, preparing them, and finally sewing them in our own workshop guarantees the highest quality.
We take responsibility for the entire process, from the preparation of the raw skin to the finished product. We buy our sheep and lamb skins from local sheperds in Kyrgyzstan.
The leather we use is a by-product of the meat industry. We select skins for our products based on key criteria including wool density, wool structure and leather quality. Animal welfare is as important to us, therefore, we place high demands on all our partners, in order to ensure that animal welfare is paramount. This includes making following checks on our suppliers:
The sheep shall always have good access to food and water. They shall be kept in an environment that is natural for them. They shall have constant supervision and be otherwise cared for so that the animals’ health is promoted and unnecessary suffering is avoided.
We do not allow any breeder to make use of mulesing.
