Company Overview

Originated from Mengling Power Electronic (Dong Guan) Co. Ltd. since 1989, Mainland Energy Conversion Ltd. or MEC was established in 1999 in Hong Kong, China. Taking advantage of the strategic locations in the Far East, we manage to expand here as the Asia Pacific Hub with Hong Kong as a key sourcing and transit port. Subsequently, we established sales and client servicing arm in Europe with the set-up of MEC-Energietechnik GmbH in 2007 in Villach, Austria. MEC aims at providing quality, best-in-value power solutions (from industrial battery chargers, lithium battery packs to energy storage systems) for clients worldwide.

 

We have our own ISO 9001:2015 certified factory located in Dong Guan, China, enable us to offer nowadays one-stop, customized power solutions pinpointing clients’ specific needs. Equipped with latest SMT technology, advanced Optical Inspection System and automated Pick & Place machines, we produce in-house the necessary inductive / heatsink components, ensuring the best quality and timeliness. Processes from mold construction, metal stamping, simulation / software designs to the assembly of battery packs or the full gear of power supplies, MEC handles well with flexibility.

FAQ's

The time required to fully complete a charge cycle varies with a couple of factors, including the power output of the battery charger and the capacity, age or condition of the battery pack. General speaking, follow the C/5 rule to select the best fit charger for the battery pack, i.e., Capacity (of the battery pack in ampere hour) divided by 5 would give you the charger of desirable charging performance while offering the best protection to the battery pack.
It is recommended to recharge the battery if the state-of-charge drops to 40-60%. And you can always connect the charger to the AC and the battery as there is an “Auto-detect” function of which the charger would start fresh the charge cycle after a pre-defined number of days or a set voltage level across the battery terminals (the Maintenance Mode).

During the long period of idle storage, we would suggest to re-connect to fresh AC and check the charger and battery regularly.
MEC chargers are designed to work properly even under extreme conditions; from -30 to +40 degree Celsius (model dependent), and with shock- / vibration-proof feature. What’s plus, some of our models are waterproof / water-resistant, which are specially designed for marine platforms. And all of our chargers come with extremely quiet self-cooled load- / temperature-controlled mechanism; and for certain models, there is a built-in temperature sensor to help monitor the temperature change within; auto charge-voltage adjustment would be initiated under certain conditions to better sustain the battery life.
We are always happy to help customize for your applications. Should the reset of the configuration be in need, we can send you the customized charge profile with which you can just upload onto the integrated data port to adjust the parameters.
Instead of malfunctioning, usually there are other reasons making the charger appears not working. The easiest way to find out further is first trying with another battery pack, to see if the charger works properly. If unfortunately, not, you can always contact us. We provide 2-year manufacturer warranty of maintenance and repairing for B2B clients.
Sometimes the charger would appear in error mode, but it is not actually a defect. Disconnect for 15 minutes and reconnect the battery pack with fresh AC and try again. If the error mode continues, you are also recommended to try the charger with another battery pack. Most of the cases, it is not the malfunctioning of the charger but the issues with the battery pack causing the error mode.
